Mark Twain wrote: “If you want to see the dregs of humanity, go down to the jail and watch the changing of the guard.” I think the other worldly observers need to distinguish between the enforcers and common people jailed by this terrible system.Responding to what Robert is saying that it is hypocritical for the Capitalists not to live up their stated principals, truth in its self is not going to set people free, it takes organization and struggle as well as correct analysis. What the rulers are promoting as universal human values, are not universal but in the interest of their class (the propertied class.) “Life, Liberty and Property.” There is a social and historical context with these proclamations of principles. People are all ‘born free,’—well not in the real world. You can’t just proclaim that everyone is born free. Life is not some sort of essence separate from material reality. Truth be told some are born freer free than others. Being born a slave is not the same as being born a master. It takes an enormous fight to get free.In its “normal” working, capitalism rests on the exploitation of the many by the few, the domination of the entire planet by Imperialism. In its normal workings, 25,000 children of the oppressed nations of the Third World die each and every day of preventable disease and malnutrition. On top of this add war, police state repression, torture and environmental derogation. It is not a problem of ‘humanity’ or human nature that we face such enormous suffering and misery on the planet today. It is a system, an economic system, based on profit not human need. When profit is command there are consequences such as exploitation and ecological destruction, despite stated high principles and flowery proclamations. Thanks for writing the article Robert, it really opened up debate and I learned a great deal. I found your examples of the current situation of Capitalism in crisis quite striking.

Thank you for the compliment Sampmusical. Lower-class people drain the governments tax money so the cheaper food and products are meant to kill them off while the businesses and corporations put money in to the government and are treated as such. It's simple give and take. The entity in power (be it a person or a government like our own)chooses who gets what. If you're a parent you're not going to reward the kid that steals money from your purse and sneaks out every night. But you are going to reward the kid the makes good grades, or the corporation that makes record profits. I think aliens would think that the people in power are smart for setting it up like this, and not think that it's wrong at all.

One more thing, we are in a society where businesses and corporations are treated as people and people are treated as slaves. Is that wrong of me to say?If these Aliens are so high-tech, let's hope that they would be smart enough to know that it is the intellectuals and system breakers that are the most valuable to an intelligent species like ourselves. They might pity us as a whole, but at least they should know that there are intelligent people and that grouping us together as spineless fools is quite immature for such an advanced technological species. We are all ants

Robert, Bill, may I say you are my two favorite people on Daily Censored?
