It takes an enormous fight to get free.In its “normal” working, capitalism rests on the exploitation of the many by the few, the domination of the entire planet by Imperialism. In its normal workings, 25,000 children of the oppressed nations of the Third World die each and every day of preventable disease and malnutrition. On top of this add war, police state repression, torture and environmental derogation. It is not a problem of ‘humanity’ or human nature that we face such enormous suffering and misery on the planet today. It is a system, an economic system, based on profit not human need. Lower-class people drain the governments tax money so the cheaper food and products are meant to kill them off while the businesses and corporations put money in to the government and are treated as such. It's simple give and take. The entity in power (be it a person or a government like our own)chooses who gets what. If you're a parent you're not going to reward the kid that steals money from your purse and sneaks out every night. But you are going to reward the kid the makes good grades, or the corporation that makes record profits. I think aliens would think that the people in power are smart for setting it up like this, and not think that it's wrong at all.
