Deficit spending is inherently bad, regardless of what its on. The government isn’t capable of efficiently investing for the future, its impossible due to the nature of government. There is no mechanism to know when or where projects are needed or whether they are actually serving the public good. Add to that the “make work” attitude of Keynesian stimulus and wasteful work becomes something to be applauded.

Your focus on education spending shows the full ignorance of this ideology. Look up some numbers. There is not one bit of correlating data that would suggest spending equates to educational progress. In fact they show the opposite. The worst schools as far as output tend to spend the most per student.

No one would argue that our imperialist military structure isn’t a HUGE drain on our economy, but ignoring the gargantuan(and growing) welfare state as part of the problem does little but show your ideological slant on the issues.
